It’s the third time a flight to Indonesia has been canceled by an airline due to an outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic virus, after the first flight in March and the second in July on the same grounds that it is difficult to get a flight permit amid such an outbreak.

Somehow I feel it is no longer important to plan when to return to Indonesia, even I don’t wanna also find out when the next flight will be available, other friends who are the same in Vietnam ask “you do not want to find out when exactly there will be another flight?”

“for what?” I replied.

As many anxious, worried, fearful and agitated people wait for when their next flight is, looking for a solution through which countries can transit, continuing to regret this incident indirectly leads them to endless mental exhaustion.

All who fail to come home disappointed, angry, upset, they are disappointed because it is too attached to the word should be, we should stay with the family, we should be in our country, we SHOUL BE….

The word SHOULD have led me to a very deep contemplation, we all already understood, other than death there is no certainty in the future, but interestingly instead of us training ourselves to prepare for the only certainty, we instead learn and try to control, grasp and cling to uncertainty.

Life drifts, not because of the currents and waves in this flow of life, but rather because we cling to the ups and downs that are always there and happening.

This means not abandoning planing, not wishing or eliminating desire but rather not clinging to the plans, hopes and desires that
arise.

In the above awareness, the never-coming flight schedule, constantly changing information and other uncertainties, all hopes and events transform into teachers who train us to submit and be sincere.
It’s time for us to live our lives, it’s time to enjoy the time of the moment and discover the wonders that go downstream all the time.

“We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” — Joseph Doug
